I noticed on the KBDFans website today that they are taking pre-orders for a new kit. There's not a lot of info on it. From the looks of the pictures it uses a mini-b connection. I'm tempted to order one of these in grey.

it's a kbdfans board so it's probably pretty decent

I seen those he opened pre orders up shortly after the case pre order's closed if I am not mistaken. I been eyeing one of those but honestly I just don't do full size keyboards. Though that one does look more compact then the average.

I'm not usually interested in full size keyboards either, although it's not quite full size. I prefer 65%, but this one is really cool.

In for one in gray to be paired with GMK 9009 caps. Now to decide on the switches for this build...

I'd jump on this if I wasn't already in a GB for a 96. That board looks sturdy af.

I think it's a nice looking board, and I have no doubt the quality will be good. However, the layout doesn't work for me. I'd much rather have a true 1800 layout b/c I cherish my home block... which is badly missing from this layout. :(

it's QMK programmable, so you can just put it above the numpad

Seems like a decent board and built quality is great, but that key layout.... Especially the short right shift and the small 0 key on the num pad.
I do not see why someone would not go for a full length board, if they needed a num pad, or go for a tenkeyless if they did not need one and wanted to save some space.

Anyone know if the LEDs are facing North or South?
Also, when you pick a color, is that for the case and plate or are stainless (silver), and brass the only option?
What I mostly like about the home block is having columns for page up/down and home/end. Would be strange to have them in a row, but I could get used to it.

So is brass or silver the only plate option? or is there a way to get red :)

That's a nice layout. I don't understand the typical "tenkeyless" layout. Yes it's more compact but 3 rows are dedicated to keys that people don't really use. Why not just have the numpad?
