Title: Finding a Keyboard for myself.
Post by: daalsat on Wed, 18 October 2017, 18:16:27
Hello.

I am looking for a mechanical keyboard with the following properties:
- Cherry MX Brown Switches
- Tenkeyless (but still with function keys and that stuff)
- German Layout
- White Backlight

Can anyone help me finding a keyboard like that?

I'd say up to $150. But also mention higher if there are some that you want to mention.

Not very good reviews and some received US layout.

Only WASD and arrows are illuminated.

I think the Filco is higher quality than my suggestions.

Doesn't Logitech do something like this?

There used to be Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid-I, but with an ugly keycap font.
I thought their successor "MasterKeys Pro S" would be available in German layout but I can't find it.

I registered just for this!

The Ducky one TKL is imo one of the best entry-level mechanical keebs that's available.

Caseking is also very fast with shipping.

Ok. What is your suggestion without backlight?

Doesn't Logitech do something like this?

Logitech have their own switches, right?

I mean, this looks good to me, but can you compare their switches to Cherry switches? If so, to what type?

I was looking at this one earlier, but many people say that it doesn't sound great and the keycaps are badly designed.

In my experience this RGB stuff (which is imo pretty useless) tends to make the white less white and more of another color, for example light purple. Does that apply to the Ducky One? I honestly want nothing but a true white (if possible).

I second the Filco Majestouch, Regarding Logitech's Romer G's, I'm not the biggest fan.

They are shorter and promise a faster actuation vs something like the MX Browns, they have a very slight bump close to actuation, a great switch for some but I find them a little mushy imo.  :)
