Only 3 keys (Control, R-Alt & Fn) make that annoying 'sticky' sound when release them.
Is that normal?

It almost sounds like there are not silencing rings on them. Have you tried lubing yet? It took a lot for me to get my hhkb set up, but once it is "there" it is perfect. Hardest thing for me was silencing my space bar. Mine is 55g with lubed RF purple silent sliders.

UPDATE:
I tear it down and find that it's the dome!!
Push the dome down. When release it it makes that sound, a 'pop' sound!
I hope this is normal and it wears off :(

Did not lube it. Spacebar on my stock Type-S is so quiet compares to my 5 years old Pro 2.

new Topre boards in my experience need a bit of a break in period. the capacitive springs underneath the domes will sometimes stick and make a sort of clicking or high pitched popping sound and can make key feel sticky. it will wear in after a week or two, depending on how much you use it.

Thanks. Tearing it down I find it's not the springs, but the domes that make the sound when it returns it's original state after being pushed down.

Hello, so sorry to revive this ancient topic, but I am having trouble with my own new Happy Hacking Keyboard. I have this problem with the qwerty keys on my keyboard and I was wondering whether the issue really did resolve itself as the domes were broken in. I bought my HHKB from Amazon and I am willing to return it and get a new one if it will not solve itself over time. Once again, sorry for reviving this thread and thank you for any help.

Looking at the video from the OP, this seems to be the domes not breathing properly. Topre domes have small channels on the flanges that allow the air to push out & flow back in unrestricted when the key is pressed. If those channels get blocked somehow it will result in a similar effect as shown here. Since yours is brand new I'd imagine it is just the dome flanges being stuck to the PCB, which should resolve itself over time with use. Alternatively you could open the board up & reseat the dome sheet, however that is something that will take some patience & expertise. The 3rd option would be to return the board you got & hope the replacement doesn't have the same issue.
