Title: Alternative Model M key caps
Post by: bettablue on Thu, 26 October 2017, 01:44:58
I am a real nerd about my love for the IBM Model M keyboards.  I have one connected to my Windows PC as well as a couple of my vintage IBM computers, then I have another two IBM Model F connected to their own computers.  My favorite is my bolt modded Model M which is used with my Windows machine.

Generally, I am VERY pleased with all of my vintage IBM keyboards but I want to see about getting a set of black keycaps for one system.  I’ve been searching the web for the keycaps, however, all of the search results seem to bring me here to Geekhack.  So, can anyone here point me to a web site where I might be able to purchase a set?

As always, thanks much

Thomas

Unicomp, but I'm not seeing a complete set of black keys, just unprinted singles.

I had a set of black Model M keycaps from Unicomp they were bagged and labelled and everything. This is one of those situations where you need to email Unicomp and ask them. Just grab your model number and hit them up. You may find they can put a set together for you. Then again they may not be able to.

I'd quite like a 101 set of the white on black keycaps, like the M13.
