Makes 960pro look like a piece of crap.
Maybe samsung got sumtin' under their sleeves.. who knows.. 960Pro Jaedong edition, 1GB/s random qd1 ... Hahahahaha

So seldom is there something that's EXACTLY what you WANT, at a REASONABLE PRICE.
Who in their right mind would even consider a 960 pro now.. it's been thoroughly out classed..
512gb @ $289 right now for the 960pro..
It should go down to ~$0 Because why the hell would anyone buy obsolete electronics..
They might as well start giving away Every Other SSD away for free in kids meals.. because this is Lightyears ahead..
I guess people do buy horses and bicycles.. meh.. silly people.

After seeing the convenience of NVME (by that I mean the way the drive is installed ONTO the mobo, just like a RAM), I don't like the idea of a PCI-e card-like installation, no matter how fast it is. Let Optane go down the NVME path, then we talk.. I think..

The reason they don't put it on the small cards, is because these are massively more powerful storage controllers.
The small cards were instituted first, because they fit into laptops. but If we continue to increase speeds, it's going to need active cooling.
If we look at THE MOST POWERFUL storage solutions, even raid cards today, some have active cooling requirements.
The whole small card storage for desktop was only a stop-gap, it's probably going to go away as optane takes over.
