A little fixing can getting working fine in no time. Some people just don't want to put the effort though.
Although, the spacebar and backspace seem a bit worn; unless the dust is playing tricks on me in that picture.
Yeah, and I'd clean that thing first.
I read the description.
"Auction is for an IBM TrackPoint PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Combo
Part Number: 13H6705
Unit does not work when plugged inand some of the keys are wearing off. Either for parts or repair.
Item will be guaranteed against DOA
If you don't see it in the pictures or description, it is probably not included"
It doesn't work, but is guaranteed against DOA?
Looks to me like E, S, D, N and C are well on their way to blankness.
We used to have people around here that would argue the Filco keycoating was useless, but they were idiots. (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=7474) I think anyone that has a M13 might want to look into some clearcoating sprays.Show Image(http://geekhack.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=8596&stc=1&d=1269111049)
That might be useful for the M13 keys that are already on my Terminal F. I'm saving the G/H off this board to put in my working M13.
Since you're parting this out, mind giving me a shout once you've determined what you won't want or need?
I think someone's gonna call dibs on the trackpoint and associated electronics, and there's someone out there who needs a new button panel, but I'd be interested to see what's left in the end.
(assuming you don't want to keep all parts for yourself)
