Interesting. I've never really thought about it. I just buy whatevers cheapest in bulk from Aliexpress.

Just buy leds with a lower colour temperature, like 3000K - 3500K. The other spec to look for is the CRI value, high value means that the spectrum is going to be more balanced and have a better colour reproduction.

Warm white is soft on the eyes,   anything that's higher than 4800k is very blue.

Warm white was TOO warm.  The LEDs installed now are "cool" according to the seller.  I bought both warm and cool from the same seller to compare them, and opted for cool.  They put the Das Keyboard stock LEDs to shame.
I prefer the warmer white to cooler white, but that's just my opinion :) Not only does cool white hurt my eyes, I have begun associating it with cheap keyboards, but maybe that is because I don't like it. The white on WASD Code keyboards is wonderful.
