Title: Where to find 1.5x right shift key?
Post by: C5Allroad on Sat, 02 December 2017, 16:40:02
Just ordered a e element z88(impulse buy) and I'm really not a fan of the stock keycap font. I can't seem to find anything that has a 1.5(I think is correct size), anywhere I can custom order something?

I saw this massdrop https://www.massdrop.com/buy/tada68-aluminum-mechanical-keyboard and that shift size is wonky  too. Ideally I'd want  a white pbt set.

[EDIT]Sorry, I typed too fast. it doesn't look like your 1.5 rshift is there.[/EDIT]

You can do it with the Ice Cap set + the Alternate kit (https://pimpmykeyboard.com/sa-ice-cap-keyset/). These are very nice keycaps, BTW.

Thanks for the link. The search continues for a 1.5u shift key.

Look like a 1.75u to me, and that's what i'd expect given the rest of the layout which looks more or less standard left of right shift.

It's the same size as the backslash key. :/ This is going to be interesting cause the stock caps aren't that bad but they're not great. Thankfully they're not smooth.

Have you checked out WASD? Their not the best, but they’ll have what you need if you’re looking for OEM keycaps. You can have anything printed on it. I had to do this for my Drevo Excalibur which has a 1.75 right shift key.

I think what I'm going to do is get a set of pbts, and then I'm going to use one of the 1.5u keys from the first row on the shift key. Thanks for the help guys

Ohh... My bad.

I clicked on the wrong link.

GMK don't have the mold (or at least no one uses it), not sure about other common profiles.
