Newbie looking to get a mechanical keyboard for my hackintosh build.
I would prefer a keyboard layout similar to that of a MacBook / Apple Magic Keyboard. I know keys can be mapped, but I don't like to change my hand location, so I still prefer something closer to the layout found on Macs.
I have tried Cherry MX Blue, Brown and Green switches. I prefer Blue and Green. I do like the idea of hot swappable switches. To that end, I'm leaning towards the Input Club K-Type via Massdrop or maybe the Kira.
I'm not particularly price sensitive, so open to DIY kit suggestions.
Thanks for recommendations in advance.

After what I'm going through with AliExpress for my 75 kit, I would not recommend going that route, and I remember reading something about Massdrop and Input Club having a fight, so I would research that as well before buying.
A bit more info would help.
Do you want plate, alu case, do you need/want fkeys? You say you want something like a Mac keyboard layout buy mention TKL, a precise layout preference helps.
Unfortunately nothing really matches that layout (unfortunately), the closest you will find is a 60-75%.
65-75% has a small user base so there are few options compared to other sizes, and since you want Mac compatibility you need to keep in mind that the Noppoo Choc Mini and it's clone the Drevo Gramr are NOT Mac compatible.

I thought Input Club is still benefiting from Massdrop sales, that's interesting.
Maybe I should just buy a kit that's available and attempt to mod it.
