On a semi-related note I'd LOVE someone to do a Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 with a decent keyswitch.

Its a fantastic keyboard, in every way, except the feel of it.

EDIT: Is it just me or does the last one have a MASSIVE arrow cluster?

This one looks really ergonomic but also really funny too.  Does anyone else think this dude is pitching a tent?

Agreed. I've used worse rubber domes though. I put in a lot of time on my Natural 4000...

Extra points for identifying the first one. I'll give you a hint, that's not a real keyboard, but a 'shopped product concept.

It's a Maxi Switch concept.  You had it as your avatar for a little while.

Another.

Key layout:

"Abkey"? The name is maybe not-so-hot.

Also check the mean laptop layout! Looks similar to another keyboard posted elsewhere here on Geekhack, except for the lettering being almost alphabetical.

The abkey is interesting at first glance, but the more I look at it, the more times I ask "why?" It is neither a traditional layout, nor a completely logical one. It isn't even in a straightforward alphabetical order. It has some nice touches, but I can't see it being a big success.

I think so too.

I could get on board with the laptop split layout, but I would stick with Colemak.

Is there anybody on Geekhack who knows more about this keyboard?
Does it have a name? When was it made? American, European or Asian inventor? Any other context that I can start search for? ... and is that a woman in the picture?

The only place that I have seen it is on the page that was linked to in the first post.

must be woman, or woman with really ugly knuckles.
plus that type of keyboard wouldn't be comfortable to a "male" after prolonged periods, at least... i mean look at it!
