NO. YOU JUST DON'T HAVE THE AUTOMOTIVE KNOWLEDGE TO APPRECIATE A BEAUTY SUCH AS THIS. THESE CARS ARE EXTREMELY RARE, YOU KNOW! I COULD BE ASKING $40,000 FOR IT IF I WANTED TO.

It's a legal cost cutting maneuver, you don't have to register another name.
A lot of customer research and legal work goes into a name for cars and once they have a name under their control, they loath to give it up which is also why some names go away and then later return. All the legal and research has already been done.
