I purchased a kit from lfkeyboards a week ago today and it is still processing. Before I become 'one of those' guys and hit up customer service, I am curious if this is typical for them.
-
Never even heard of them :-X
It can be normal if it's not a full on business.
-
Never heard of them either.
And I'd agree with xondat, if it's just one guy or so, it's expected that processing/shipping times won't be very quick. I ordered from OLKB almost 4 weeks ago and it hasn't shipped yet, which is alright. I think Jack is the only one running the shop (and he was waiting on PCBs to come in).
I'd give it another week and then contact them.

Hmmm, that's a new one to me. Looked on their site and saw this, though:
"Assembled PCBs are built to order. Expect 1-2 weeks before PCB is shipped."
Did you perhaps order something where they need to solder the SMD components (MCU/diodes) onto the PCB?
-
I ordered something too. He just has to build it.
Very responsive guy. I've emailed him a few times with random questions and he always replies quickly. He's the only person I know of to offer SMK compatible PCBs. I have some 2nd gen clicky SMKs ready for my board. Oooh, and I had him add the Piezo speaker too. That should be fun :)

I got my SMK PCB from LFKeyboards as well ('cause well there aren't really any other options). Their website is very minimal, but if you actually email the guy he's super responsive and helpful. I had a very positive experience.
But yes if you ordered a PCB with the MCU and diodes attached that will take some time. I didn't feel like it was unreasonably long though.

LFK is run by ca178858 - good dude. I've done some design work for/with him in the past. He does build everything himself, and he's definitely easy to reach if it's on his contact form or via Discord/Reddit. I'll let him know you have a question.

Hello!
Thats my site. I'm not sure which order is yours, but I still have two unshipped orders from last week, one of which I'm guessing must be yours.
I build these on demand so they take 1-2 weeks to ship. I normally run < 7 days, but January has been crazy, and I've had one go 14.
Feel free to hit me up any time though. I have the same user name everywhere, including reddit, DA and discord. I'm not terribly active on here or DA though.

Thanks guys, now I know. Being made to order, the wait times are totally acceptable, which is why I asked. Thanks guys.
