We always had cases of "Moxie" that almost never sold and after tasting it I understood why, but they are still produced regularly so somebody must like it.My Physics prof loved that stuff. Had it in class nearly every day. I can't even remember what it tastes like now but it wasn't something I liked enough to buy more than one.
Probably my fav soda, root beer is pretty good tooShow Image(https://d1sca6vi4fbl8x.cloudfront.net/media/product/image/Fanta_Pineapple_Soda_16.jpg.750x750_q85ss0_progressive.png)

Just one? What a question...
I'll go with this, the tie breaker was colour :))Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/SgOjfGR.jpg)
Thankfully it's the national drink of Scotland (where the rest of the world uses Coke as the default soda/mixer they use Irn Bru...) since 1901 so no, it's not going anywhere. They may have stopped exporting it...Just one? What a question...

They also handily spelt it the way the Scottish would pronounce it, so it's easier for foreigners to assimilate the proper pronunciation ^^ .Thankfully it's the national drink of Scotland (where the rest of the world uses Coke as the default soda/mixer they use Irn Bru...) since 1901 so no, it's not going anywhere. ^ Nice, I've never been to Scotland despite it being a 'short' drive (short to Americans but the full length of the UK is long to us!) but it's widely available and orange so had to be tried.
Glad you can still get it, hopefully the reduced sugar doesn't impact the taste too much.
the default soda/mixer
The good stuff does not have an "e" in it IMO. Jack Daniels in particular is so awful it's undrinkable even when you DO mix it with coke :p .
the default soda/mixer
Why would someone waste good whisk(e)y by mixing it with something?
I think that's a hangable offense - not even sure you'd get away with adding an ice cube as it's cold up there :))

In all fairness, the only ones I've tried so far are JD, JB and Four Roses. All of those were awful, though - they all shared a very strange, dusty and sickly sweet taste.

Tennessee whiskey is to bourbon as Irish whisky is to Scotch. Good bourbon is wonderful.

I agree with sickly sweet, but it's no worse than the "sickly" aspects of other concentrated liquors..

Barq's is so good, especially ice cold on a hot day.
Rootbeer preference has been a pretty divisive subject in my experience. IBC, Barq's, A&W.. My grandfather would exclusively buy MUG. I like 'em all, especially as floats.
Almost 15 years ago now my friend and I had a small sponsorship with Jones soda - I liked their black cherry. Vanilla Coke has been my favorite for a while but I'm going to try this Irn Bru, its on Amazon. It looks and sounds really good

Haha no way, TP. I'm pretty sure I'm Not-Super-Ugly ;) but not a model!
Back when I lived in Virginia Beach, VA, my buddy Braden and I were gung-ho little grommets - surfing and skating as much as we could and then going snowboarding in the winter. We both liked Jones a lot and eventually put stickers on our surf and skateboards, took some action shots/videos and submitted them to Jones hoping to just get free soda. :)) They started sending us a case every month with stickers and T-Shirts to giveaway. As 13 year olds, we were pretty stoked about it!
Jones isn't as common down here in FL though

PS - "soda" is so Yankee. In the South, any soft drink is a "coke"
Vernors+1, but it's pop, not soda.

My answer is any soda with good bourbon... and then forget the soda.
Does scotch fall under this category? Because I'm fairly certain people don't drink scotch to get drunk, or else you're wasting money.
I do exactly that. I avoid getting drunk, even, I don't like it.Does scotch fall under this category? Because I'm fairly certain people don't drink scotch to get drunk, or else you're wasting money.
When someone whole-heartedly believes they drink a certain Liquor for TASTE.. That's imminent alcoholism.. hahahahaha

This is simply not true, it's like saying water is addictive because it tastes refreshing :p . Or that getting out my front door is alcoholism because I do it EVERY DAY.I do exactly that. That's not how it works chyros..
Drunk is only the more-obvious symptom of intoxication.
But the Addicting pleasurable aspect of alcoholism only requires 0.5 to 1 shot of any hard liquor.
I don't drink to get drunk is on the list of denials to alcohol addiction (substance abuse)
along with.
I don't drink alone
I'm a connoisseur
I only get drunk on weekends..
Comforting things people say to justify a habit in the making.
There's no way you're going to convince me that sipping a fine whisky or a nice beer from time to time - and yes, also on my own - is substance abuse :p . How could you possibly gauge whether I'm an alcoholic when I haven't even given you an indication of an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE of how much I drink and how often? :p

TP4 does not allow reason to get in the way of his opinions.

How much and how often have nothing to do with being an addict. Alcoholics that are sober are still alcoholics. Doesn't matter that they haven't had a drink in 10 years.
First of all, by this logic everything you've ever done makes you an addict of that thing. I flew to South America on a school trip in high school, so I'm addicted to flying to South America?
Secondly, being addicted to something has a negative stigma attached to it. It's not necessarily a bad thing to be addicted. I'm addicted to drinking tea on my days off, is that a bad thing?
I've been trying not to drink much soda.. basically down to one six pack of these /per week now..
(Attachment Link)
it is fine and all but all you fanta people realize it was the Nazi's that invented fanta because they couldn't get American soda syrups during the war.. but I looked and they sell fanta in Israel apparently..... sooooo I guess they are kool with it..

Fanta WAS made in Nazi Germany during WWII and it was because they could not import the American syrup, but it WAS NOT made BY the Nazis; it was made by the German Coca Cola company.
You're right, I'm addicted to every single substance I've ever ingested. You got me! :p

Exactly.. UsualSuspectXXX
Fohat and chyros really need to catch up on Addiction.
It's not as innocuous as timing events..
It's a serious rewiring of the reward circuitry which may OCCUR SLOWLY, but many times Permanently..

That's the only reason I drank it tho. If I could get beer without alcohol and the same taste I'd drink it regularly.
Aren't you at good odds of having engaged in self-deception for posting about vegan foods all the time? Maybe we haven't identified the "potentially hazardous" aspect of eating vegan.
If we're all addicts of something, there's no way to break that cycle and we're all destined to engage in self-deception at all times, even you.
I'm a good ole American Pepsi boy
I'm a good ole American Pepsi boy
I hurd Pepsi contains more caramel coloring, which means it's more carcinogenic vs Coca Cola. !!
Your statistics are hugely flawed. You do realize there are other factors that contribute to heart disease and diabetes than eating meat, and we may not even know all of the causes. Hell, eating spinach could give you salmonella poisoning, but I'm sure that's not a factor for you when you decided to switch to a vegan diet.
There are more variables than just your diet that contribute to declining health, and everyone's body is different and can deal with certain things better than others' can. I'm sure you've heard of eating "paleo" and the potential health benefits of doing so.
We used to think smoking cigarettes helped prevent sore throats...

Crush > Fanta
I think it was TP and NoisyTurtle that listed Fanta as their favorite and I mostly wanted to see how they (or any other fanta fan) would react :p
On a serious level though, I had the opportunity to be a fatass this weekend and try out the Grape and Pineapple flavors from both brands and preferred Crush's soda in each instance.

I did the taste test against 5 different brands of orange soda years ago and Fanta was the winner. I'm sure I still have the results in a notebook somewhere.
I think the order was Fanta - Jarritos - Big K - Crush - Sunkist
the Sunkist tasted like it was made with rotten oranges

That's the old style of Jolt cola can. They made it darker in the late '90s I think.
I have both of them on my shelf (of a the remnant of a once larger can collection).
I have also heard of a rip-off called "Volt cola" ...

Yeah there definitely was a rip off called Volt Cola or something along those lines. They sold it (but not real Jolt) at the refreshment shack at my local BMX track back in the day.

I've had Volt Cola, but I can't remember the taste, so I guess it wasn't all that impressive.

Discovered a recipe to make Josta, gonna give it a try tomorrow and report back.
Recipe calls for:
24oz Pepsi (throwback preferred)
1/4 cup Bawls energy drink
3/4 cup Vitamin Water Power C
apparently it both looks and tastes very close to the original Josta

OK; so I got to try this recipe out today. Upon the first sip it genuinely did bring back memories of Josta, but by the time I was halfway into the glass it was clear it wasn't really the same... close though. One thing that this concoction was missing was Josta's trademark syrupy bite, the soda itself was almost viscous, like a bubbly fruity cola cough syrup while still retaining it's effervescence and bite/nip at the edges and tip of your tongue with the sharper fruit undercurrent. I wound up adding a few more teaspoons (1/2 cup total) of the Bawls to reenact that bite.
It would absolutely be better using a more concentrated dragonfruit juice flavor, but dragonfruit seems to have fallen out of popularity as a flavor and Vitamin Water was the only thing I could find.
Overall if you were a fan or want to have some idea of what Josta was like give this a try in a big mug full of ice and you won't be disappointed, but it certainly is not the real thing.
Josta has more of a berry flavor, the sharp taste comes from the guarana in the Bawls which was one of the main ingredients in Josta.
