While I have been lurking on here for a while, I have never actually tried out most of the switches that are mentioned in this forum. I am building my first keyboard fairly soon but am at a loss as to which switches to choose. What is the best/most comprehensive switch sampler kit?
Thanks

the best switch tester is the one you make yourself ;) :thumb:
novelkeys (https://www.novelkeys.xyz/product-category/switchtesters/) has some pretty good ones too

There is no such thing as a comprehensive switch tester these days because these stupid companies keep making new switches! ;)
That said I think Clueboard's (https://clueboard.co/parts/clueboard-switch-tester) is really cool because not only does it have a pretty decent variety of switches, you can actually wire it with a battery and LEDs that light up when the switches actuate. Which makes it infinitely more useful than most testers out there (in my opinion at least). Bit pricey for a tester though.

Wow they definitely offer a lot of different switches... now I have to narrow down 25 that I think i might like from 90 possible switches
Thanks!!

Yeah that is a bit pricey and I am not sure what I would do with the macros afterwards

CM used to have a Topre tester.

I have tried Topres and personally I am not really a fan of how they feel

That’s why switch samplers are good.
