Ebay seller pooponanengine has a broken HHKB (http://cgi.ebay.com/HAPPY-HACKING-KEYBOARD-MODEL-PD-KB02_W0QQitemZ330420421303QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Mice_Trackballs?hash=item4cee9782b7#ht_500wt_1182) available.

Can those broken switches be replaced? It was fairly simple replacing a cherry blue on a Filco.
-
no you cant replace the switch i think, because it uses a rubberdome membrane or "mat" with springs under each dome..
but older geekhackers can correct me on this..
-
All versions of the Happy Hacking keyboard other than the "Professional" ones use membrane switches.

Having said that, the original HHKB might feel better than the mediocre HHKB Lite. There has to be a reason they called it the "Lite" version, right?

Ask yourself this one question-
Would you buy something from someone with the name "pooponastick"
errrr..."engine"?
haahaa =P
Since it's not a mechanical board, its not really worth fixing with the prices of working ones in great shape for cheap.
haahaa, whatta name XD

Heh I was fooled into thinking this was a capacative keyboard.. but it's a dome.. wonder how you fix a dome keyboard. :P
