Typing on it right now, suprised to find it still working with 40% of the membrame folded underneath it :thumb:

Still needs some improvements on the esthetics thought :))

I've converted two fullsize M's to SSK's.  While folding the membrane is an option, I cut it and used a combination of thin copper wire (out of cat-5 cabling), and foil hvac tape (WAY cheaper than copper tape) to reconnect the jumps.

Has been holding together with no issues for almost 5 years now.  I have a real SSK and an ISSK but I like my frankenSSK and it's been my daily driver for the majority of that time.

agree that cutting of the membrame would be much neater, but I'm a bit affraid I would not be able to reconnect the traces again due to my lack of mad modskillz:p I would maybe cut th traces to the old numpad / nav keys to prevent them from accidently register.

Initially I did just fold it over.  Had some issues with keys registering so I went back in and hacked it up.

Whatever works for you.  Once you get one trace reconnected after cutting you'll see it's actually pretty simple.

What did you do for the case?

Cut down a fullsize.  The top right patch shows a lot less in person.  Never got around to making it nicer, but I could.

I also started working on the case; starting very simple by removing the numpad and part of the nav cluster. I've kept the leftovers since im planning to use it to finish the now cut off right side of the M60.

I also cutted some extra holes in the membrame to prevent the "underfolded" keys from being accidently registring
