Yes to the split space support! It'll be the same kit used by Yuri and other recent sets :thumb:
And as an avid HHKB user (and by avid I mean I literally type on an HHKB every single day of my life and will never change that), I am in love with the Fn legend, personally.
However, for a set I have a concept for in the nearishly future, I think Run could actually be a pretty cool legend for it...

I understand, but there are quite a few boards that would mean having both a 1u fn and the menu key on together and it'd look a bit odd
Are you opposed to just replacing Menu with Fn? I've seen this done before on some GMK sets

I'm not opposed to it, just from a purely aesthetic point of view, if you put both Fn's (1u and 1.25u) on it'd look weird and a bit redundant but obviously that's just my point of view.

And doing this, splitting them off, will allow for an exceptionally cheaper base kit which is something I want to push.
More expensive base kit = less chance to hit MOQ. Just trying to balance it out to not add 20 bucks To the base kit

I don't know about others but I use XT/CP/1800 layouts a lot and the numpad is my primary navigation

No progress made with proxies as all progress with them is halted until I get pricing from GMK which requires a finalized kit.
I feel we're getting quite close to the final kit. I'm becoming more and more satisfied with it as the days go on.
Please please please! If you have a suggestion for the kit, I am more than happy to receive feedback :D

What about a reverse color version of the tombstone?Would add quite a lot of extra cost to the set. I personally don't see it as a needed addition and would rather have a better priced kit, rather than having 100% compatibility.

This looks awesome :) Will you be getting color samples from GMK to verify accuracy? The colors are pretty subtle/muted and in my experience a lot of custom colors come out too bright, which could really kill the set imho.

I WILL be getting colour samples from GMK, however, due to the process of custom colours being very expensive to do small batches of, they only provide physical samples after the order is placed.
In the meantime though, GMK will be sending me a Pantone book to help me get a good understanding of the colours, physically. If for no reason other than to give us a good starting point to go from :)

gmk is very helpful...i asked for a sample on one color and they sent the whole ring...excited to see it...i was thinking it wouldn't hurt to host a group buy with kono on the gmk set...if they are not to busy...still haven't seen the render...said all that because it made me think of the comment you made about the 250 moq being stressful...and while i think this set is amazing and should have no trouble hitting that the idea of double hosting group buys might help you alleviate stress

This set is no where near the stock colours GMK has available, unfortunately. Their palette is very... basic? I think is the word to use. Like, their palette covers normal colours but when it comes to muted tones it's not stellar.
I do have a colour ring as well, but again, all the colours in this set are custom so it's not too useful :P

Yeah, to be honest after getting Yuri with the icon mods I think an all-icon mods board looks really childish. So personally I'd just prefer no icon-only caps. Especially since I think the GMK caps lock icon looks terrible and the enter doesn't look great either. I get why you went this way, just wish it were a normal return and shift.

i am sorry you feel that way...but you might as well grab a surf board cause im in this forum like my name is el nenyo...thats a blink ref...est. in the 90's...i looked at the yuri mod kit...i liked it...it would definitely help hit the moq...but be honest...would you really be willing to pay another 50...because for me...needing the 6u and wanting the n set it is painful and pushing a reasonable keeb budget

It's not a "bad look" to reply to an IC thread describing the things that make you less interested. I wasn't giving OP "salt", I was describing what I'd prefer from this GMK set.

I didn't see your reply before it was modded out but your issue was most likely with me using the word "sloppy" which I don't mean to be a descriptor of OPs work but rather an accurate word describing how I feel the GMK icon-only shift, return and caps lock look when combined with all other keys being text.

I didn't do a good job of making clear what I would have preferred, which would have been text mods (as is currently) but standard shift, caps lock and return keys with text as well instead of icons only on those keys.
