Those are some seriously nice listings!!

Sounds nice:
Light and airy, reminiscent of a well-used “azure” cherry MX switch crossed with an IBM model M. To be more specific, it has the light touch of a cherry brown MX switch and the “sharp” tactile bump of an IBM buckling spring keyboard. It makes for a remarkably ergonomic experience.

Teabaggers (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pargon/sets/72157623594187379/show/)?

That's good stuff.

As opposed to teabagging?

Whatever, either way.

Did someone say T Bag?

Prisonbreak...good show.
Those are nice listings. Well done spolia.

Thanks for the promo + nice comments.. I thought about pimping my own listings but figured it would be rude/imprudent. Mom says I have the business sense of a chambermaid, don't know what she means by that exactly...
The descriptions, yeah... I just look at the item, type on it for a minute or two and try to capture the true essence of the kitachi in the form of a flowery, cheesy, keyword-laden paragraph. I try to have fun with it.
I really, seriously wasn't planning on selling the Oki (because I love the hell out of it) but $$ is $$ and I could really use some atm.
The 1391401 has an ivory springboard and most of the rivets are in-tact and original. The few broken rivets (found in the usual spots) were fixed with 2 part epoxy.
The Maxi switch is alright. Meh, it would be better with a large backspace key. Fans of quiet rubber domes would enjoy it... Too soft and spongy for me. The build quality is leagues ahead of most new keyboards though.
You know you want that M0110 :D hehehe.

To bad I'm outta money. I have a serious addiction -, and just when I thought there were not any switches that I didn't have/need. - what a fool I am :)

Did you just say Genuine Peerless. I'm on it!
-
Looks like I've set some sort of precedent: all Peerless keyboards shall be sold for free.

Nice final auction price on the Model M:
IBM Model M (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230458257696&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)
Maybe it was the word "tactile" Just kidding. Super nice auction with a monster description. Good going!!!

I have 2 1991s. They are the best. You're missing out, Ripster.
-
I can't speak for the regular Model M, but since I have 8 Space Saving Minis sitting right in front of me, I'll go out on a limb and mildly claim that they're all the same.
-
When you have 8 space saving keyboards, they cease to be come space savers and become space takers. :)
As for 91, are this referring to early build quality with later improvements in key stabilizing?
I've never had issues with stabilizers in my 1986-88 silver labels.

I think Spolia just made it all up. I do that all the time with my Ebay listings. But I use my own pics. This sets me apart from the Nigerian Ebayers.
I don't have it in me to wax poetic. But I actually wanted to bid on that Model M after reading Spolia's description.

Interesting, that advert says : "OKI Mechanical Keyboard RARE Vintage Clicky IBM Japan"
Is there actually a link between OKI and IBM, or is the seller just trying to cover search terms?
-
That's a good point, in that sense it is correct.
