I want to see the set!(https://i.imgur.com/A3lZ43M.png)
When and How much?i'm gonna get serious on this after Sanctuary rebirth run ends. the pricing are yet to be submitted to GMK. but maybe US$40-50ish.
- Any thoughts about R5 support? I know GMK only has molds for 1.5u and the spacebars, but it'd be interesting to see.GMK also has R5 1u and spacebars have a profile of their own, they don't change between R4 and R5.
shall we try it with 7u R5 space bar?As stated, there's no such thing as a R5 spacebar. Spacebars are one profile alone.
Split spacebar?split space bar is actually feasible.. but i don't want to make this set more expensive than it is.
But honestly i want GMK make small spacebar with convex version.

1.5u R5 mods with 1u R5 winkeys would be great though.
Would love to see R5 support.R5 is interesting. i'll try to run it.
Please run an Enter key if you really keep the Trap key
I was messing around with your layout idea. I left your original alone and just started my own in keyboard layout. Kept what you had so far, but updated colors & cleaned it up a bit. I did add the regular Enter key, a 1.25 "Fn" key, the "GMK" key, and the ". Del" key to complete the bottom R4 row.this is very interesting. thank you for your effort! it's already good, but i'll modify it a bit later for R5 support, if you don't mind.
This is what I have so far.

What do you think?
We wouldn't need an enter key because all og 1800 and 3000 keysets have the same enter as modern keysets. If we want to keep keycount low, we should take out the trap altogetheranother enter key wouldn't be needed. for now, i don't think that i should take out the trap key as there's few people that message me personally that they will buy the set just for the sake of the trap key :))

thanks for all of your feedback, this set has grown so much.
let's start from here (my pic) and decides which key has to go. :))Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/5VIxEpp.png)

good idea!
1. You got the 75%/65% wrong. Should have R4 end instead of R1 home
2. We don't need R1 Delete, End, PgDn since these keys are R1 on OG 1800 boards already
3. What is the point of the R4 to 1800 row?
4. We should add R4 code/win keys for OG 1800 with R4 WKL bottom row.
5. We can take out 1.5u alt/ctrl since OG 1800 and OG 3000 boards will all come with these keys. We just need the R4 and R5 code/win keys. If your OG board has R4 bottom row, use the R4 win keys. If your OG board has R5 bottom row, use the R5 win keys.
6. We only need R4 arrow keys for those who have OG R5 bottom row but want to use 1.25u mods. R5 arrow keys are not necessary.

Thanks for the detailed comments! i'll try to answer that one by one.
1. oops, my bad. i've corrected my sketch but yet to upload at here. it's too late now, maybe tomorrow lol.
2. My basis for including those keys are for OG 3000 users that want to place their keys on 1800, hence they will need those keys.
3. same as no 2, for OG 3000 users that want to place their keys on 1800, hence they will need those keys.
4. could you elaborate more on this? i didn't catch your phrase lol, sorry.
5. I Include those keys because maybe there are some people who haven't tried R5 yet (but have OG1800/OG3000 R4 already) so they can swap their R4 keys for R5.
6. same as no. 5.
though that i'm thinking a bit far, but i feel that the market for reason number 2 and 3 are.. small. i'll see if there's actually any interest in this or not, if not, then i'll follow your suggestion on no. 2 and 3.
thanks again for the critics and comments!
oh damn you're actually uploading the picture lololol. you know what i mean then.
Ahhh i see. Yes i'll make one more set of that black diamon on r4.thanks for all of your feedback, this set has grown so much.

For 4. I just mean for those who have R4 1.5u OG 1800 mods, they would need an R4 1u win/code key

Disagree, I've bought both iso and ansi boards and I'd like to switch some of the iso ones over.
In for R5 (AKA A-Profile); but, what legend is going to be used for Profile A 1u. Windows? Code? Dot? Diamond?I would prefer Code

we'll gonna need a vote to decide that.Yea. Taking out 11900 is a good idea. We can also have a vote or IC form to see the demand for iso
alright.,Also, I'm going to see if deleting that G80-11900 bottom row and converting it to ISO-to-ANSI kit makes some value added or not.
Code or diamond
The stepped control key should use the abbreviated 'Ctrl' so it can fit all sexy like
Edit: Just took a better look at the newest render and it appears this is already the case. Given the sudden bounty of 1800 pcbs, this should be pretty popular with people using winkeyed 1800 keysets winkeyless
This stepped control key [...] no serious keyboard aficinado could afford to let it passing. This gentleman couldn't have nailed it any better. I agree with my whole heart.

This stepped control key would be a first, if I am not missing something, it has not been offered previously in the classic beige color. If someone has any recollection on it, please correct me, otherwise it would be a great detail to make this set a very special one, that no serious keyboard aficinado could afford to let it passing.
I have not mentioned the ISO compatibility keys in the IC form, because I have enough of them already, however, it would be great if a C-Profile acute accent and tilde key is included along an ISO key. Those keys make any ANSI set to be XT compatible, which is a great way to use an ANSI set along with an ISO enter key.

GMK 9009 had a stepped ctrl key
I feel like a little extra punctuation would make the 'Trap!' key a thing to behold. I'm not an expert by any means, but 'Trap!?' with both an exclamation point and a question mark would really convey the confusion and awe one might feel in the moment they realize its weapon systems are fully operational.
alright bois, here we go:
I removed 11900 set and changed it to:
a. Adding one pair of code key for R5 tsangan kit
b. Adding one set of ISO that support XT (Ideus' idea)
c. Adding one 2.25u Shift key for complete HADApter Support
d. adding a cuter trap enter (lol)
which i think has more value added than before. i guess this set is complete. i'll try to contact GMK for a quote this week if my schedule allows me to.

hiya. so i got a quote from GMK yesterday, but i think the price is a bit too high for us to afford (about 80usd something).
we really need to reduce some keys :))

80 USD? They're condemned.
For the 1.5u backspace, you should use the arrow legend (ala 9009 R2) instead. I'm pretty sure it's much more popular.+1
Might be interested in the WoB version depending on what keys are available.

Too bad the U9 ISO key was dropped, I've been looking for that for ages.
The beige version is great, if you go the white on black, I may take it as well, but I am more interested in the beige one.

probably will be the same. i'll be focusing in turning the weird wob set (with 6u spacebar) to something more usable. For the 1.5u backspace, you should use the arrow legend (ala 9009 R2) instead. I'm pretty sure it's much more popular.+1

i might make both, if there' enough interest.
tho that deskthority is much better than gh for something like this :))
This will be the same colors as GMK Classic Retro, right? If so I would be in for this (since Classic Retro only has WKL R5).
I just hope that the OP is still on this, it may revamp most OG sets as well as new retro and 9009 ones with a few keys that the sets did not include originally.yeah, still on my logbook but i want to focus on my other project first.
Hello, what's the point of having two identical keycaps in ISO? I mean the |/ key. The color should be the same of the alphas too.i am aware and i already edited the layout.
Not a big fan of the "diamond" or "win" legend... Maybe someone has better ideas?
I suppose that the price will be about 40 eur.
edit: Now I see that you've already fixed some points.
I completed the IC form!
I'm interested in this set for the 1800 keys. I'm missing those ones in my collection :).
EDIT: Just saw the latest layout lol.
Necro question: Is this still on the log?
Necro question: Is this still on the log?
GMK missing keys ran end of last year, slight difference but similar enough that probably saturated
