Title: smoothing 3d PLA prints with resin

in this article, resin is thinned by alcohol.
Can I thin it by ethanol?

Ethanol is an alcohol and you can mix any two liquids so yes, you can...

Seriously though, test it using small quantities, go outside or use a fume cupboard in case there's a reaction which produces loads of toxic fumes, and as always when dealing with resin wear gloves - safety first.

Just like the guy who wrote the linked artical someone has to do it first, if you already have the things required why not you?  Please report your findings :)
