Title: In weight, what is the Korean-spring equivalent of Membrane Buckling Springs?
Post by: enrique.aliaga on Thu, 22 March 2018, 14:14:44
Hello guys and gals!

I would like to start modding some Cherry MX Clears to turn them into "Ergo Clears". I know that 62g (Korean spring) is the most popular, although 65g and up are also used.

Given my dislike for the weight of Membrane Buckling Springs (on my IBM Model Ms), I was wondering what would be the Korean-spring equivalent of Membrane Buckling Springs, weight-wise? And now that we are on the topic, what would be the equivalent of Capacitive Buckling Springs (Model F, whose weighting I find quite nice)?

Thanks!

Approximately 80g for membrane BS, 65g for capacitive BS.

But if you want the closest experience to bucking spring you can get in Cherry mount, you want the Kailh+Novelkeys thick click box switches. Navy is approximately the weight of membrane, and jade is approximately the weight of capacitive.

I already have a bunch of M’s. I am not 100% fond of their weight, but I still use them regularly (though I am now using an F).
