Title: [help] How to bypass the TRRS connections on a Let's Split
Post by: WallofYawn on Sun, 25 March 2018, 11:05:08
Long story short, the two halves of my Let's Split don't communicate. I think I may have shorted one or both of the TRRS jacks because I hotplugged them a few times when I was troubleshooting another issue. The lights on both Pro Micros come on when connected via TRRS, but only the master side registers keypresses. When the slave half is plugged in via USB, it records keypresses as a mirror of the slave half. From all the info I've come across, this is exactly how it should be.

I have a couple more trrs jacks on the way, but I was hoping to test if this was my issue before I desolder all the switches to install mew jacks.

Thanks for your help!

just solder them direct, and hot glue the ends
