Title: Questionable Cantaloupe

I think I may have let it ripen too long.. It tasted slightly --fermented--, like a slightly alcoholic-ee taste..

Not sure I should've eaten half the cantaloupe.. but, well, Am I going to die ??

I've never heard of a rock melon but it sounds like what either an Australian or American Southerner would call a cantaloupe, and I'm guessing the Worst of the Colonies: Redneck USA. Am I right? Where do they call a cantaloupe a "rock melon"?

Store-bought cantaloupe (picked green) is sometimes good but rarely great. Home-grown naturally-ripened is exquisite and amazingly better.
