Title: Tealios questions?

Hey everyone just got a few questions about the linear switch made by zeal the tealios,
Are they smooth like alps skcm linear blacks or linear green?
Are they a good typing switch?
How noicy are they?
Wouldyou recomend them?

I've never used Tealios but in general Cherry MX and clones don't feel much like Alps switches.

Everything is subjective except that they are pretty smooth compared to older Cherry linear switches. ALPS linear switches are a different breed than MX based switches.

I would recommend buying switch tester with them or buy a couple off someone (i have a few i could spare) and snap them into something to test them out. Alternatively, the best option would be to go to a meetup and test them out in someones board.

I've tested almost every stock mx switch in a switch tester and also about 20 full sets on a hotswap board. Tealios are my favorite of all (I only use my boards for writing/coding). I have never tried Alps so can't compare. They don't sound much different than any other mx switch, no spring noise and a little bit softer bottom out because of the nylon housing.

I've had boards with Cherry MX: Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Brown, Black, White, Clear, Gray, Pale Blue, and Dark Blue. Also used Alps SKCL/SKCM Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Cream, Amber, Brown, White, Salmon, Black, Green, White Damped, and Cream Damped.

Though the action is the same between switch types (linear, tactile, clicky), the mechanics behind the design of the switch varies enough that the switches aren't really comparable.
