Hey folks,
I am out of the loop when it comes to readily available stock keyboards.
I am trying to get him to buy a Leopold FC900R, but he really wanted it in black in color (as well as MX Black/Clear switches & PBT Caps). He lives in Canada, and they're hard to come by.
Any other suggestions that offer the full package?
A+ Stock Caps
MX Clear or Black

Just send him a Leopold. The FC980M is a fantastic solution for compact yet almost full size key access.

Yeah, can't go wrong with a Leopold FC900R, that's a great keyboard.
One option on this page however:

Here's one I've been tempted by in the past, but haven't pulled the trigger on:

I tried, but he's a stubborn one. He even says he doesn't know if he uses a numpad but insisted on the default layout lol.
He's one of those --- resists change at all costs.

Thanks for the suggestions.
He ended up pulling the trigger on the IBM-esque FC900R w/ Clears. I'm excited for him. If only he knew how great of a deal and how much pain averted via my recommendations.
I'm sure he would've ended up with a Corsair, paper thinABS and lots of LEDS.
Instead, he's getting a premium board, with superb 1.5mm keycaps and a functionally exquisite peripheral. I can't wait until he gets a taste for the CAP -> CTRL swap.
I'm sure he won't appreciate the quality as much as one who suffers the growing pains of Razer, Corsair, etc. and underwhelming MX Red experience.
Edit: Be careful when looking at some of those Leopold boards! They snuck in some doubleshot ABS, despite being known for their super duper PBT caps.

MX Reds are pretty fantastic for typing and gaming :thumb:

I have been using a Ducky DK9008 (https://imgur.com/a/si7Ql) for years and years of typing at work. Very well made board. I've swapped the switches on it a few times too.

thirding leopold
980m or 900r are both good choices, though i might say 980m is slightly better due to being smaller
