Will a simple RJ45 to USB converter work for the keyboard that I have (RJ-45 Terminal Model M Keyboard) and will it be compatible with Windows 10? I do not want to physically convert the original wire, just pop a converter on there and call it done, so hopefully this is an okay one!

Looks to me like the adapter you linked to let's you speak "Ethernet" out a USB port.
Won't work.

If you feel you want to add the LED's in the future, you can. However, the keyboard will be just fine without them.
