Hello all,
There is a question that you have maybe in some time. How will you do if you want a customized keys set or keyboard, your character, your pattern, your design and that only belonging to yourself? The GMK, PMK and the others could not make it because the cost and MOQ reason. CHERRY custom could make it.
Case: CHERRY G80-3000 OG
Case printing: UV (Ultra-Violet Ray) printing
Keycaps:
1. High-quality PBT keycap ANSI set
2. CHERRY G80-3000 OG ANSI set
3. Keys set of yourself
Keycaps printing: Dye-sub
If you are interested in the custom, we will move on the next step.
Welcome all the suggestion and question.
You could upload your images and find the renders here(Chinese): custom.cherry.cn (http://custom.cherry.cn)
Here are some examples photos,

Depending on the price I would be interested. Even for the keyset alone.

is that the only key layout possible?

I assume because it's cherry winkeyless and ISO would be available as well
-
Definitely interested, especially with the 5-side sub shown by the tidehunter design. Does this mean we'd be able to have a single large image subbed across the entire board and the caps? Because I've definitely got some ideas I'd love to seen done, for a reasonable price of course.

Dye sub and custom printing? Sounds perfect! So long as the price isn't exorbitant that is.

So, I just tried out the site linked in the OP

The idea is nice, the price is a wee bit prohibitive if that's accurate.

Looks like $217 is the going price, which isn't actually that bad when you consider how much ink would be used for an entire board like this. At the same time, I would actually really like the ability to buy custom layouts instead of full photos. I know people run GMK sets for things like Arabic sublegends but it would be nice to be able to set it up exactly how you want it.
Should be able to do that, you can upload pictures for each keycap. Looks like you'd need to put some work into setting up the legends you want to fit the caps uniformly tho.
-
Yeah but it seems like you would need to really get your tolerances correct, and who knows how closely Cherry follows the upload. Plus how frustrating would it be if you are halfway through it and your internet or PC gets cut off. :))

for a 100% custom product, that's not that bad
consider that people pay 4-500 for custom TKLs
i'd call this fairly priced

I mean, those custom TKLs are generally milled alu with various other unique tidbits contributing to that cost. For a simple dyesub/print job, on only a single type of production board that they decided to use, in what appears to be a single layout, I'd expect it to be down below $150, maybe even lower than that. Especially seeing as I wouldn't consider this "100% custom" when there's no choice in the board used, only that single one, and with limited options.
-
The thing is, these are one-off productions. If you wanted 100 boards with your custom graphics, I'm sure it would be much more in line with what you'd expect ($150 in this case).

To be honest, the price will not be the competitive cause the custom product need more human cost but not machine.

Yes, we only have the ANSI layout right now for these two kind of keys sets.
But accept the others key set of yours. We could only do the printing. :)

Yes, a single large image covered entire board and caps is available.

The price would be reasonable. :)

The website price including the keyboard.
But for here, I think most will only buy the keycap set and case.

The price is including the G80-3000 keyboard in China.
But I think we don't need the keyboard at here and it will rise up the shipping price too.
So only the case or/and keycap set is great for GB.

Please forgetting the keyboard itself here. The most important thing is the printing service.
We choose the G80-3000 as the first one because the case have more space be printed anything not the frame like the Filco and others.
The options are limited for the keys set.
How about the buyers provide their keys set and Cherry Custom only did the service for them. ;)

I'm still interested, even if it's only case and caps. I wouldn't want the stock switches anyhow, and I'll either find an aftermarket PCB or make one myself.

leeku 3000 PCBs are abundant

like the tidehunter design's space bar and the colorway of why so serious.

Do you think it would be reasonable to have other layouts available in the future? I'd be much more excited about making my own layouts, say NorDe with Cyrillic sublegends for example. Then we could choose the ink colors like black primary and blue secondary.

Fantastic thing. I whish I had seen it before.
