Peaches are like that, too.

I find peaches get mealy too easy, pears seem to have a better window of opportunity.

TBH, Also find kpop pears soso.. Just pears in general.. they all have an unpleasant grittiness when one gets near the center.

Anyway I have vague memories of disliking pears due to them being very sweet but it's probably been 15 years since I ate pear, raw or cooked. You're not doing a great job of selling them :))

Post by: JP on Mon, 23 April 2018, 10:41:18: I guess I've not tried a bosc pear. I typical eat bartlett pears. Basically it is more difficult to tell when a bosc is ripe and so is usually reserved for baking.
