Title: What keyboard & keyboard layout does ESR use?
Post by: knightjp on Fri, 04 May 2018, 17:09:34
It is quite interesting that we talk about Steve Wozniak, Matt Mullenweg using Dvorak. What about Eric S Raymond? We use his code every day so that makes me wonder what keyboard layout he uses on his computer and what his preferred keyboard?
Does he like CherryMX switches or does he prefer to use an old Model M?

Judging by the Tactile Keyboards community on G+, he's a Model M fan. Probably QWERTY.

We do?  What did ESR ever write besides fetchmail, which I don't think anyone actually uses anymore...

ESR founded the G+ group (https://plus.google.com/communities/107279217898209966798).

More stuff, easily found in a duckduckgo search:
Tactile Keyboard FAQ (http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/tactile-keyboard-faq.html) by ESR.
Keyboards are not a detail! (http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=4975) ranting about when he registered here on Geekhack.  :))
