I have a feeling eventually hipster will latch onto CCFL backlit lcds, and be like, Oh yea dat color, So warm and Much analogue..

I still use the original microsoft intellimouse ball mouse on my computer with the 17 inch 5:4 monitor.

Can't really use it for anything higher res than that because it's too slow and imprecise.

What a weird Monitor..

I just calibrated an oldie , viewsonic va2323wm.

The User-Set color settings on the monitor side (to match white point) Does not kick in once the monitor turns off, UNTIL you re-enter the color menu manually..

The settings stay in the menu, but it doesn't activate until you go INTO the menu after every power cycle


I doubt anyone has ever used this cheapie monitor for color-work,  but had they done so, unless they knew about this defect, they would've woken up to the wrong colors each and every time the monitor power cycles..

HP LP2065 official specs (https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-lp2065-20-inch-lcd-monitor/1815933/model/1815934/document/c00871839) don't say, nor do these more detailed ones (https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-lp2065/specs/)

It's old and square so sounds like something a hipster would like...

Last I checked, gamut is usually better with CCFL, but it might have changed since. My CCFL monitor has a low pitched whine at 50Hz.

As much as i want to claim the prediction, it was during the tp vegan period.
