Title: Can I use this PCB with Cherry/Gaterion/Kailh switches
Post by: demas on Thu, 10 May 2018, 10:18:38
Here are two PCB (https://ru.aliexpress.com/store/product/xd75re-Custom-Mechanical-Keyboard-75-keys-TKG-TOOLS-Underglow-RGB-PCB-GH60-60-programmed-gh60-kle/3034003_32818745981.html?spm=a2g0v.12010108.1000016/B.1.4ba154bcvlbLnP&isOrigTitle=true)

Do I understand correctly, that I can use the black one with Cherry/Gaterion/Kailh switches and the white one only with Alps switches ?

The black one has hot swap sockets installed that allow you to insert the switch and be done, no soldering required.  That one only accepts MX switches (Cherry/Gateron/Kailh/Zealios/Aliaz/Greetech/Otemu/BSUN/probably others I can't think of).

The white one will require soldering.  It supports both MX and Alps switches.

If you want to use Alps switches, you will need to make sure you get the Alps compatible plate.  Alps and MX use different plates.
