Title: Classifieds Timestamps
Post by: SpAmRaY on Sun, 13 May 2018, 21:51:08
Could we get some clarification on what constitutes 'recent' for classified time stamps?? I've seen some pretty old timestamps that seem to be getting the ok.

And some of the printed stamps being used look really fake like possibly digi tal versions being added after the fact.

My suggestions would be handwritten, 2 weeks old max. Same rules as mechmarket for ease across platforms.

Can updated time stamps just be a selfie in front of the pile of crap I’m selling?

I personally do no more than a month, but two weeks is fine.

Do report out of date pictures.  We might not get to unapproving posts immediately, but we will look at the reports.  The classifieds rules ask for a "current date" in the picture, that means when you list something on May 14, it should have May 14 timestamp in the picture (could be a day or two old, but still basically the same date as the post).  Some posts with timestamped pictures end up being bumped for a month or two, we could add a bit about updating photographs periodically if an item doesn't sell for a long time.
