Deskthority cites the japanese model as having mitsumi standard mechanical switches type 1. Can anyone opine as to the feel of these switches? Are they similar their Alps counterparts?

See my reply to you at the other thread; the short version is that, to my fingers and ears, they seem practically identical to the Alps version.
