Hah. It is simply lack of accountability.
No matter how legal or illegal, if bastards can get away with it, they do it.
The other day, I saw a dozen security guards having lunch at a local burger place. Right outside were half a dozen vans that they had driven there with, parked willy-nilly right right in front and in the way for everybody.
They just didn't care, because they know that nobody effs with them.

It was more a joke about the quality of TG3's soldering than police. I do agree though. A lot but certainly not all law enforcement of all types abuse their power. Of course, they might be jaded by so many people breaking the law too. Just Sayin'.
