They don't spin real fast,
Quiet..
A mild and gentle breeze..
The airflow is non-uniform and feels natural..
The subtle blinking shadow they cast on reflecting surfaces..
Lay down, watermelon in hand..
Just a complete wholesome experience..

There are a few listed as compatible with Alexa on Amazon, but this is the only one with good reviews and it is $600: https://amzn.to/2MDSdET.

Do what I do, get a smart switch that is controllable through whatever you use and replace the switch it's on with it!

That would only turn it on and off though.
With a ceiling fan I would want it to go speed up or slow down based on time of day and temperature.

Living in Malaysia, ceiling fan is a must. I have 8 ceiling fans in the house ! Each room has to have one installed.

I've got some distant uncles there.. They always carry them paper fans too because they consider it hip / cool (for their age)

Personally I prefer rotating circular fans since they are directable and movable.

‘92? Hmm... mayyyyybe that’s possible. I suppose your uncles live in rural areas? I don’t remember old men carrying fans in the suburbs and cities.

This is true. I'm sure they exist though. Mine only has two settings, "Off" and "It's hot as hell in here, turn the fan on."
