Hello there, First time posting here.
I was wondering if i could get some help with this IBM Model F that i am working on. You see, i purchased one on Ebay, noting that it did not have a cord on it. So i was like Okay, that's not too much of a problem. So i decided to get the Xwhatsit adapter because i couldnt find anyone that sells Model F keyboard cables. So i ended up desoldering the cables, i began carefully removing the old circuit board and added the board. I decided to plug it in and test it out. While i did managed to get the board installed on my device, i cant seem to get any kind of mechanical input on it? was there something im missing or maybe the board is bad? Maybe it short circuited, or maybe i got the connection on the wrong way lol? I do have a volt meter.
And if it's a bad board, im willing to pay someone to help me fix this. Thanks for reading.
