Keebags really have gone from strength to strength and, with the feedback provided, we're ready to go live. Super soon.

I've been working behind to scenes to make this group buy as professional yet straightforward as possible. As such, I've gone and built a site, as suggested (for those who like to know, the site is using Snipcart as the cart platform with Stripe handling payments). Additionally, I've set up a dedicated email address for any specific or order-related questions and this can be found on the site too.

Anywho, enough of my week... let's look at what's changed:

There will be 12 different sized Keebags. Sizes are in mm and prices in GBP:

Postage is now calculated on weight. Those in North America benefit the most from this with those generally interested in two Keebags benefiting the least. It's a trade off that was voted for but at least postage is accurate.

Colours... well, well, well... unfortunately, white and maroon cases will not be offered as they are discontinued by the supplier. However, these have been substituted for grey and red. Both colours can be seen on the site and a true sample of the grey can be found here (https://ppkr.co.uk/images/products/keebag/Keebag_Sample_Grey.png). The supplier did mention that white would be a hard colour to try and keep clean, even if it was available. Pros and cons, I suppose, though I hope that grey is a satisfactory change.

So, earlier, I did say we'd be live super soon.

This GB will be live tomorrow, 20th July 2018 at 19:00 BST. That's 20:00 CEST, 14:00 EDT, 11:00 PDT and Sat 04:00 AEST.

It will run throughout July and August, ending during (or just after) the last week of August, date TBC.

As always, feel free to get in touch with any questions. Here's to tomorrow!

N.B. No orders are being taken until 19:00 BST Friday 20th hence prices are omitted from the website until then.

Are they completely soft? A bit worried about the front (where the keycaps are) getting dinked when moving around and breaking a stem, whereas with Kin cases I could probably drop a brick on them and have no damage to the keyboard

And are they actually manufactured here?

Interested either way

Filled the form!

I’ve been looking for a bag that can hold multiple 60% boards.

I was wondering the same thing, but based on visuals looks to be a cotton canvas type material, so it has its own "stiffness" in some sense, like thick denim.

100% manufactured in the UK! The cases are manufactured by a company which specialise in audio-visual equipment protection.

With regards to durability, imagine a laptop/satchel bag, rather than a briefcase. It will definitely defend it from waist-height falls (tried and tested). It's stiff - with pressure applied, the cases only bend in the middle. It's worth adding that, the smaller the case, the stronger the build.

Case looks interesting. What material is it made of?

The material isn't fully disclosed however I believe it to be heavy duty nylon. It's firm!

I'm very interested in these bags. They look great!
Although, I would be interested in more double slot options if possible.

I've just posted the following to /r/MK which you may be interested to hear:

Hi, there's been a lot of interest for other 2-holding cases. I'll consult the manufacturer on these, based on a requested demand within the IC. At the moment, a 2-75% is the most likely 2-holding case to make production however we'll definitely see once more responses are received.

Filled out the IC form! Interested to see what other colors would be available color options if enough people choose that they would rather pay more for colors other than black.

Does the manufacturer offer microfiber (or similar) lining on the inside?

Seconded the interest in microfiber or some sort of lining inside.

The material isn't fully disclosed however I believe it to be heavy duty nylon. It's firm!

Then probably equivalent to some sort of Cordura or similar. Is it just fabric stitched to itself or does it have padding/stiffening inside anywhere? The lining doesn't have to be microfiber IMO, since it is thinner and less durable and prone to wear than other "normal" fabric linings. You can easily get large sized microfiber cloths to swaddle your keyboards in separately, if it keeps the complication of the construction to a minimum.

Also, I'd be interested in a 2 x 75% bag, if not double TKL bag too.

I think that it has a great likeness to cordura! The case is lined with a 10mm padding within the cordura.

I'm currently at work though I did speak with the manufacturer earlier today. Not to build hype or anything however, if they can honour the £27-£35 price bracket, we will be seeing a total of 11 case sizes. Keep your eyes peeled!

Yep! Just like the samples, the ergo will be 'stacked' with a divider between the two  :thumb:
