Title: Kroy 190 Keyboard
Post by: latemodel24 on Tue, 10 July 2018, 14:16:27
I need some help with a board, I found a Kroy 190 keyboard at goodwill for 2.99. I looked at the wiki and it says it has yellow space invaders and white space invaders for the spacebar. The issue is whenever I pulled a cap, I found white space invaders and a green space invader for the spacebar. The serial number is 1815. Is their also any way to convert the keyboard to usb, as the switches are pretty smothe.(better than outemu browns atleast).  All of the keycaps are there,just took them off for the picture.

Hi,

1. Can you take a picture of the power connector?
2. Are there any indications like in this page?    https://www.jameco.com/Jameco/content/walladapter.html
             outside connector ==> ---(•--- <== Inside connector
3. Also, if you can take it apart and look at any chips in the inside, near the power connector there may be a way to tell what the regulator can stand.

Once apart you can probably use an ohm meter to see if the outside or inside connector is connected to ground.

Once you know the polarity you could probably start small, like 5 volts, see it it powers up, then try 8, 12, 16v

Jameco (and many others) have power supplies of all voltages and connector types.  Or adapt a 9-volt battery to it.
