Title: KBDfans 5° Aluminum Case with a default GK64 plate + pcb, will it fit?
Post by: InvisFrames on Sat, 01 September 2018, 12:25:22
Before I drop 100 CAD on this case I want to be sure it will at least be compatible... I have before me a completely default GK64, default plate, default pcb. Purchased directly from KBDfans. I'm really into swapping cases but I can't seem to find any solid answers as to whether or not my plate + pcb will even fits the case. This is the case https://kbdfans.cn/products/pre-orderkbdfans-5-60-case (https://kbdfans.cn/products/pre-orderkbdfans-5-60-case)

Now I've seen people with a GK64 PCB fit it into this case with no problems but I've been reading about the default plate that comes with the GK64 being too wide to fit this case, and that screw standoffs may damage the underside of the pcb.

If anybody with a concrete answer could help me clear this up that would be great. Thanks everyone.

According to this thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=91584.250) it doesn't fit. You can always ask them directly if you have any doubts. They're quick to reply.

GK64 Doesn't fit at all plate is to wide. The screw outs are not the same.
