Title: Getting Alps stabilizers without harvesting from old keyboards?
Post by: nguyenhimself on Thu, 20 September 2018, 09:27:53
So I've been collecting the parts for my custom Alps build, and suddenly I realized that, since I'm planning to buy from different sources (Alps switches from a guy, keycaps from another guy, etc), I cannot harvest the stabilizers from an old keyboard like most people do.

What are my options here? Am I forced to buy a vintage Alps keyboard just for the stabilizers?

Thanks.

Just remember for alps boards if you do costar like stabilizers, they have to bend away from the switches, not up like in that video (they collide with the housing).
