Title: Anyone tried rubber feet on the Model M?

Has anyone tried putting rubber feet on the  bottom of the Model M? Just two on the top part , since the bottom already has them built-in.  I have found it makes the keyboard slide around on the desk a lot less easily (at least with my Space Saver) and also it makes the over all feel a bit more sturdy when typing.

I use high-profile, round bumpons.  The clear ones are much better than the black ones.  I get them at Home Depot.  For applications where something needs to slide back and forth (like a keyboard on the kitchen table) I use high-profile, square bumpons and put a felt or cork sticky pad on them.  Great for avoiding spills, too, I just peel off the fouled felt and put a new one on.  Keyboard undamaged.

I can't remember where I got my black round rubber stickies in the above picture, but I believe they came with some hifi device I bought a while back.

Ideally, I'd like them to be a bit more low profile and I thought about cutting it so that it's thinner and just a mm or two of rubber, but then I figured I may not get it cut right so just left them as is. Works great.

This thread reminded me that my kitchen laptop needed non-skid feet.  Around $6 at Target you can get assorted non-skid pads of all types: felt, plastic, foam, CORK, and hard plastic non-skid.

I actually just pasted on little strips of electrical tape on the bottom of those little square feet; works just as good.

I love electrical tape; I plaster it everywhere in my computers and peripherals. It works great as padding for the spacebar and arrow keys. Gives them more grip. And electrical tape has virtually no residue either.

That grip mat looks like shelf liner, but the shelf liner is less expensive.

Mine don't slip at all. I thought it was because they weigh like 10 kilos a piece.

Mine can slide sometimes; although there's so little room on my desk, that it really has nowhere to go.
The PS/2 cord on mine fell out when I was unplugging some USB cables at the back, AGH! The SDL cable is just too heavy.

A model F wouldn't slide. Especially with those "cork pads".

Oh, **** no! Gripmat under the KB and Mousemat, job done. I bought my desk because it actually matches the Other Half's expectations of decor. That would get me in more hot water than announcing another KB acquisition.

The way I read it, you can get both.  That, and in some of his recent pics, you can see the spare risers.
