If there were any Sales going on tho, probably a new Computer monitor. Mine is now like 7 Years old?
2K, IPS, 27 inch, fully adjustable, 99% Adobe RGB and 14 or 16 BIT colour. Probably Eizo.
That kind of stuff...

Never bought anything on black Friday and don't think anywhere sells human shoulders, positive attitudes or a sense of purpose so this year will be no different.
In an ideal world I guess I'd like a new 4:3 monitor (mine's 10.5 years old, surely can't go on forever :() but they don't exist.

Buy a monitor calibration probe.. (def necessary, because drift after 20 yrs hahaha.)

You have a point but at the moment I can't carry a CRT, I wouldn't even be able get the TFT out...
Being crippled sucks :'(
Luckily I'm in a place that doesn't do winters either, it might go subzero a couple of days but it might not.

I succumbed to buying a fast NVMe SSD and I'll probably not really need that speed. The price of cheap SATA drives could dip to half that price. I should at least have waited for more stores to join.

Went to chk out the LG g4m3r monitor today..
Overall.. idk... it's 240hz, so the response is real good, but 27 inch w/ TN panel..
This is a bit of an issue, because it's vertically tall enough such that the colors from the bottom 1/3 of the screen looks washed out.
Annnnd, the colors from the TOP 1/3 of the screen looks too dark...
This is common to all TN, but it was a bit jarring on this monitor, prolly cuz it's not calibrated.. but still.. hrrrmrmm.....

kinda sad that all the deals were dog crap this year. i managed to buy a refurb iphone x for $510 when ebay offered 15% coupon. nothing i was looking for went on sale unfortunately. my friend offered to pass on the $170 viewsonic 240hz gsync monitor deal he scored a few months back to me, so i'll be buying that monitor from him, but still on a hunt for a ~40 inch monitor. now that i'll have the fast gaming monitor i think i'll just buy a 40" 4k tv to save money. the 40"+ monitors don't go for as cheap as its TV counterpart

rrrmmm... the 240hz monitors have pretty bad colors at the bottom 1/2 ish of the screen due to viewing angle..
It's the reason I didn't get the LG yet ..
Calibration will help, but it can't fix the saturation issue due to TN angle..
I'm still mulling it over for the lg 240hz..
Basically it's VA-panel at 165hz vs TN-panel at 240hz
