Title: IBM Model M Key Cap Question
Post by: 5.6 on Tue, 16 October 2018, 02:15:28
Does anyone here have experience with using Unicomp key caps on an IBM M?  I have a 1997 made in Scotland IBM M and I’m missing two key caps.  I am wondering whether or not the colour of some new Unicomp key caps will match my 21 year old IBM.  Any insight will be appreciated.

In my opinion, there must be some difference between the Unicomp caps and the originals even for the same color.

That was my thinking as well.

I suspect though that Unicomp may be my only realistic option though.  Brandon at clickeykeyboards is out of stock and in fact is waiting for stock for one of the keys I need so that he can repair some keyboards.
