I think you would need no less than 3 adapters. 1st a din to PS2 adapter, a DB9 to PS2 adapter, for the mouse and finally an active PS2 to USB converter with mouse and keyboard. I think this setup will work.
I am thinking something like this would work for the mouse part.

A bunch of adapters...or use it with an old school PC since it comes with a floppy which I assume contains the mouse driver.

Gotcha. I think you linked the wrong male/femal version of the 5pin to ps2, but I have one already. I'll have to think on it.

Nonetheless, this is an excellent price for one of these NIB... I don't think there's any reason not to find it interesting!
