Title: EVA-1 40% build
Post by: Nixon on Tue, 06 November 2018, 12:00:55
Been playing around with 40 percent keyboard builds but they`ve all used laser cut sandwich style cases. Finally come up with a layout I`m happy with so decided it was finally time to build a pretty case for it. The Was rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion and thought that EVA 1 would be a cool inspiration for a case, so designed this.

Going to do a test version with my laser cutter and 3D printer but if it all goes well, I`d be tempted to get it CNCed out of aluminium.

Here`s the layout I`m considering for it.

What is the purpose of the notches along the side bezel?

Thought it'd look cool, well until I printed a test case and put switches and keys in then it looked a bit daft. Redesigned it  for laser cut frosted acrylic and looks a lot better.

Oh I really like the stepped bevel on the top!
