Title: [IC] Aluminum BFO-9000 Plate Case
Post by: yes_butwhy on Sun, 11 November 2018, 18:55:29
Hi everyone,

The BFO-9000 from Danny at Keebio is the perfect keyboard for me, and I wanted to design a metal switch and bottom plate for it. As we all know, laser cut metal parts are very expensive. I found a company that will do it relatively cheaply for me, but it still costs quite a bit. I will offer kits of these aluminum plates (2 switch plates and 2 base plates) AT COST + shipping for anyone who is interested. I only need a couple people to make it happen at around $45 per kit, but the more people I can get the cheaper it will be for everyone. The designs for the plates are in the imgur link below if you are interested.  The m2 screw holes are placed in such a way that you could add laser cut acrylic to make a sandwich style case, and have cutouts in the back for the usb/reset/trrs.  If you join my buy I will also send the files for the middle acrylic layers and/or cut them on my laser cutter (which can only cut acrylic).
