Please forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong place as I'm new here.
I am new to mechanical keyboards (in a way) I've only ever owned one cherry red board and have used it for a couple years now because my original purpose was mostly for gaming. I have recently started writing and am making far too many mistakes when typing at speed. I have a Z70 Pro on order and am changing and lubing the switches/stabs once it comes in.
This being said, do you think I would be better off transitioning to a tactile switch, or changing to a more or less sculpted keycap profile (currently OEM)? Or is it truly just preference? I have spent most of my typing time on laptops and can type around 20+WPM faster on one, even after spending a couple years with my MX Red board.
Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's all preference I use gateron red and yellow linear switches and I type faster on those then tactile switches. Same for key cap profiles. You have to find out what fits your needs the best.

I'm starting to feel happy the Z70 has hotswap, haha. ;D I think I'll be trying a few different things. Maybe stronger springs will aid me in not having as many typos without straying from linears as I will still be gaming on them about as often as I'm writing. I'm thinking a lot of it is accidental presses when moving from key to key. Thanks for the input!
