It looks like the keyboard on the Japanese 5550 (http://homepage3.nifty.com/ibm5550/5556004_1.html), but in some kind of English or European layout. Without a more informed search, Google didn't tell me anything about that part number. What kind of switches does it have?

This is a nice find. Probably some kind of Brother Alps. Check the IBM wiki.
Yes it's Alps linear. The wiki has the Japanese version. I've never seen an English variant. The 5550 was only released for several east Asian countries.
I bid $10, got outbid, needed more thought and info, and then forgot about it... It seemed worth checking out.
