Title: Re-silencing FC660C?
Post by: Justintoxicated on Tue, 04 December 2018, 18:00:24
Since my keyboard needs to have the plate repainted.  I might as well give it an upgrade if I am going to go through that hassle.

What is the best way to silence my FC660C for under $100?

I have been using dental bands but they were all broken when I took it apart.  I was very happy with their performance while they lasted, but I want something more permanent.

My personal favorite method is still 02dazone. Get a sheet of silicone and some leather punches and go nuts. I think it cost $27 between the rubber and a nice cheap set of leather punches and feels/sounds as good as stock Topre silencing.

Think this is the best bet under $100: https://kbdfans.cn/products/topre-keyboard-silence-x-120pcs

It's about 75% of what purple sliders do for me

Personally I've tried the Hypersphere rings and KBDFans rings both has their pros and cons.  However given the price and the pros I think KBDFan rings is your best bet lol.

But effectively Hypersphere dampen better but too thick reduce tactility and KBDFans doesn't reduce tactility but doesn't dampen as well either.  Though both are still better than stock.
