Title: Cheap small programmable mechanical keyboard
Post by: Bjack795 on Sun, 23 December 2018, 13:17:09
Hi all!
I'm looking for a small (60% or a little bit more) mechanical keyboard.
I don't care about the quality of the switches etc..
I only need that would be programmable, cheap and can be unmounted (since I don't need the case).

Incredibly there are some assembled keyboards cheaper than PCB+Switches+plate+keycaps that it's all I need.

Thank you!

Your cheapest option will be Vortex Pok3r off eBay. On a regular basis it can be seen at $80-100 new. I myself bought a new one for $80 from US shipped to Europe, where I would have to shell 150EUR. You can't beat that price to quality ratio.

I'm thinking about very cheap keyboards (under 50€) like this https://www.amazon.it/dp/B01K1XDTJY/?coliid=I109KSQO51QY2S&colid=19HXA5RVC1IQO&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it (https://www.amazon.it/dp/B01K1XDTJY/?coliid=I109KSQO51QY2S&colid=19HXA5RVC1IQO&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) one

You aren't gonna find anything under 50 Euro being programmable. Best bet would be getting a poker 2 for cheap second hands or new.

Fully programmable, and just the PCB? GH60. Switch coverage for decent MX will run another $25 or so (Gateron) and keycap is varied, but iKBC / Vortex offers solid PBT options for $30. In total you should inch towards the $100 range with plate and stabilizers.

Anything prebuilt on the market will likely disappoint if you're looking for full programability. Of course, there are Tada68 kits too that are excellent value.
